History of Kaplan College, San Antonio (San Pedro) Campus

Kaplan College, San Antonio campus, formerly Kaplan Career Institute, is one of the oldest private career schools in Texas offering allied health programs. The College began operating in San Antonio in 1966 as San Antonio College of Medical and Dental Assistants (SACMDA) and through the years has prepared thousands of students for careers in allied health and business. In October 2007, SACMDA, San Antonio campus, changed its name to Kaplan Career Institute and, in 2009, Kaplan College, Fort Worth campus, became a branch campus of Kaplan Career Institute in San Antonio. Kaplan Career Institute, the San Antonio main campus, changed its name to Kaplan College in April 2010.
